I planned to run away
when the time was right. I knew I was a prisoner and a slave in my own
home and I knew that they would kill me one day soon.
One day the final moment
came when I was about to be horribly beaten so I ran out
the door with little more than the clothes on my back and the
fear in my heart.
I gained my freedom that
day but, the struggles were just beginning.
Over the course of the
next few years I would live on the brink of poverty making very little
money and I thought that anyone who had what I didn't have was doing
something illegal or unethical to get it and I hated everyone for it.
